Roses Are Red

Hello! It's time for another ABC Challenge! Our challenge is R for Roses Are Red.

Or black in my case... 

We are sponsored by Bugaboo stamps and I used the super cute Ava flower patch image. I colored her with my Copics. The "black" flowers were caused when I added Stickles to them. I always forget when I'm using a digi image that I can't use Stickles because it doesn't like my printer ink... Anyone else have that problem and have any suggestions. I had printed the image out last week so it should have been dry by then, lol! I think I'm going to add gems to the center to see if that covers it up. I used The Sweet Stop sketch #219 for the layout. The paper pack is Echo Park: For the Record 2.

True Gift

 Hello! I'm back with another card for Christmas Card Challenges. This week's optional challenge is embossing.

For my card I thought I would use a couple different types of embossing. I did a bit of dry embossing with a Swiss Dots embossing folder for the main panel. The CTMH image of Mary and Jesus was embossed with grey embossing powder. I colored the image with watercolor pencils. The sentiment is from Verve. The papers are from the WeRMemoryKeepers Winter Frost pad. I used the Viva la Verve July Week 1 sketch for the layout. Some ribbon with a MFT border die and a button finish it off.

Christmas Stockings

Hello again! I'm back with another card for Christmas Card Challenges. This week our optional challenge is Stockings.

The layout for my simple but cute card is from Clean&Simple sketch #247. I used a super cute set from Taylored Expressions colored with Copics. I cut out the larger bird and covered the images smaller bird so he was holding the line. I added some pearl paint to his hat for a bit of fluff. The image panel is cut using the awesome stitched dies from Lil Inker Designs. Just some washi tape and a CTMH button finish it off.

Happy Birthday

Hello! I wanted to stop by and share a card that's taken me all week to make! It's Mojo Monday's 300th sketch! I love their sketches and knew I wanted to play along with the celebration, but wasn't expecting it to take me this long, lol. I started on Monday as soon as the sketch came out, and seemed to get interrupted every time I sat down to work on it. I finally finished late last night, it really felt like a victory! 

My father in law's birthday is today (obviously his card is going to be late, sorry!) He loves to go fishing and recently got back from a trip to Wisconsin so I thought this image would be perfect. The scene was created using some CTMH stamps and the sentiment is from Verve. I used some CTMH patterned paper scraps.

I really loved this sketch, congrats on sketch #300 Mojo!!

Keep Me In Your Heart

Hello, I'm back today with another card for ABC Challenges. We are on to Q for Quite a Few. We want to see lots of layers and embellies!

I made this card for my parent's anniversary. They were junior high school sweethearts so I thought the notebook lined paper from Crate Paper: Paper Heart collection would be perfect! Looks like a little love note. I layered other scraps for the layout. The sentiment and heart are from Verve. Some ribbon and lots of pearls finish it off. I colored over the heart with a Spica glitter pen, although it doesn't show up in the pics.
