You're Bewitching

Hello! I feel like I've said this every month so far this year, but where has October gone and how is it already Halloween? I wanted to pop in real quick and share the only Halloween card I made this year!

I used this sweet witch from Tiddly Inks and colored her with copics. I added Spica glitter pen to the sparks from her wand. The paper is from CTMH and the sentiment is AmyR. The cute little embellie sticker is from a set I received as a gift from a co-worker. The sketch is the last one from the Sweet Stop :( Will definitely miss that one!

Thanks for looking!

You Answer Me

Hello, I'm just stopping in quick to share a card I made today for some good friends. Their son died in a tragic accident yesterday morning and it's my prayer that they find this card a small comfort during this heartbreaking time.

The paper pack is Teresa Collins: Fabrications. I used The Sweet Stop #231 for the layout. The verse is from one of my favorite stamp sets, from Our Daily Bread Designs. Some CTMH ribbon and misc pearls finish it off.

Thanks for looking, give your loved ones a tight squeeze tonight!

Thank You So Much

Hello! I'm back with another card for ABC Challenges! We're on to T for Thank You.

I used a super cute image from one of our sponsors, The Paper Shelter. You know I can't resist this cute teddy bear! I colored him with Copics and added Stickles to his flower. I used some papers I had received in a grab bag from Verve so I'm not sure what collection they are from, love them though and wish I had more! The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions. Some Verve ribbon and a CTMH button finish it off. The layout started as The Sweet Stop #223, although I'll admit it ended up quite altered. Gotta love a great starting point though!

Thanks for looking! I hope you have a chance to play along.

Roses Are Red

Hello! It's time for another ABC Challenge! Our challenge is R for Roses Are Red.

Or black in my case...

We are sponsored by Bugaboo stamps and I used the super cute Ava flower patch image. I colored her with my Copics. The "black" flowers were caused when I added Stickles to them. I always forget when I'm using a digi image that I can't use Stickles because it doesn't like my printer ink... Anyone else have that problem and have any suggestions. I had printed the image out last week so it should have been dry by then, lol! I think I'm going to add gems to the center to see if that covers it up. I used The Sweet Stop sketch #219 for the layout. The paper pack is Echo Park: For the Record 2.

Thanks for looking, I hope you have time to play along! Check out the other DT creations at the challenge blog!

Celebrate the Season

Hello! Am I the only person wondering where June went? Maybe it was all the overtime at work and Caleb's baseball games that made the difference, I dunno! All I'm thinking is that if the rest of the year goes by as fast as the first half, I'm sure glad I've been making Christmas cards all year long with Christmas Card Challenges! Our optional challenge this week is paper piecing.

I used this cute little snowman from CTMH and paper pieced his hat and little bird friend with CTMH Aspen paper scraps. I used some more scraps for the rest of the card. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions. I used some Prismacolor pencils for the little bit of shading and added a bunch of Stickles for the snow. Just some CTMH brads finish it off. The layout was Sweet Stop Sketch #217.

Thanks for looking! I hope you have a chance to play along so Christmas doesn't sneak up on us all! Check out the main challenge blog post for the other DT creations!

With Sympathy

Hello! Lately I haven't gotten around to sharing cards that I've made that haven't been for one of the DT's I'm on. But I'm hoping to change that starting today!

Unfortunately I've needed quite a few sympathy cards recently at work. This is the most recent one (although I'm working on another tonight...) I used Sweet Stop Sketch #212 for this card. The paper is Echo Park: For the Record 2. I used a mixture of stamps, the birds are from an Inkadinkado set I picked up at Michaels. Definitely doesn't stamp as clean as my loved Verve vine stamp. The sentiment is TE.

Thanks for looking!

Peace & Joy

Hello! I have another card to share for Christmas Card Challenges, this week our optional challenge is Things With Wings! This past week was so crazy, luckily I hadn't shared this card yet from the Christmas card class I hosted in November.

The super cute angel stamp is from CC Designs. The paper and sentiment are all from Simple Stories: Handmade Holiday. I colored her with Copics and added some stickles to her wings and halo. A MFT snowflake die with a misc pearl finish it off. I went all the way back to Sweet Stop sketch #9 for this one!

Thanks for looking, I hope you have a chance to join us!

Fairy Birthday

Hello! I thought I'd stop in share a card I made this week for a co-worker to give her granddaughter for her 2nd birthday.

I printed this adorable digi image from Sugar Nellie and colored her in with my copics. I added bling to her flowers and wings, although the pics really don't show it! The paper is an old pack from CTMH, I don't even remember its name anymore. I used The Sweet Stop sketch 191 for the layout. I scored the cute crochet flower at my local scrapbook store for 80% off on New Years, woo hoo! Just some misc ribbon and CTMH brads to finish it off!

I'm also entering this card into Simon Says Stamp something new challenge. (the pretty flower!)
As always, thanks for looking!

Lavendar & Lace

Hello! Can you believe it's already the 15th of March? It has flown by for me! That means it's time for another ABC Challenge! We're now on to L for Lavendar and Lace. This was a challenge for me, I immediately thought about a baby card, but out of all the papers I have stashed I could not find 1 piece of lavendar patterned paper! So I scratched that idea and solved my problem by using lavendar cardstock and lacey-looking paper from last month's Key Ingredient kit.

This card will be my mom's birthday card next month, I'm ahead of schedule! I used The Sweet Stop sketch #149 for the layout... love it! The stamps are from Taylored Expressions. I colored the butterfly with my Prismacolor pencils. Just some CTMH brads and misc lace and pearls from my stash to finish it off! Thanks so much for looking, I hope you have a chance to join us at The ABC Challenge, maybe you'll even win one of the great prizes up for grabs!

B is for Boo!

Hello! The ABC Challenge is back and going strong! I hope you were able to play along with the past challenge, there were so many awesome entries. Today there is a new challenge... "B for Boo!" We want to see your spooky Halloween projects, check out the challenge blog for all the details.

My card isn't exactly spooky... this little guy is much too cute : ) I tried to channel Jack Sparrow with the black lace.... Oh how I love Captain Jack Sparrow! I used the Sweet Stop Sketch #129, and I'll be honest the circle really freaked me out at first until I found some old paper that had a moon image with the bird and old tree and problem solved! Thanks for looking, I hope you can play along!

1 Sketch, 2 Cards

I have 2 cards to share today, both using the same sketch and design, but I loved both of the images and wanted to show both : ) I had started out coloring the cute Tin Man freebie from Bugaboo. I then made a 5.5 square card using The Sweet Stop sketch #94. I thought the Tin Man was a little small for my card, I felt there was too much plain space, so I made an A2 card with the same layout and everything. I loved the layout and didn't want to throw it away, so I colored the monkey image that I had printed out a bit bigger than the Tin Man(even though the cute gears on the paper don't quite go with the image! I worked with what I had already printed!) These cards are also my submission for Crazy 4 Challenges #73: to make a Valentine's card and since I love Bugaboo images these are also for Catch the Bug's February challenge. Thanks for looking!

Live, Laugh, Love

Hello! I hope everyone had a safe Labor Day weekend! I had to work Monday (yay for time and a half!) so I had yesterday off and was able to make a card. It seems to take me forever to make a card anymore! I had these grand plans to make a bunch of cards and I got *one* done : ) One's better than none, and I do like it. I used The Sweet Stop Sketch #72 for my card, except I added the photo corner to cover up a mess up in my sewing. I was at war with my sewing machine yesterday, and of course, since I know NOTHING about sewing the machine won! Oh well, I have at least figured out how to thread the thing so dear husband doesn't have to do it for me anymore, lol! Thanks for looking!
Paper: CTMH (sorry for the life of me I can't remember it's name...its so long retired!)

Me and My house

This is the last Father's Day card that I have to show. That's all I've made lately, I haven't had much mojo to make anything else! This is the card I made for my dad. I used The Sweet Stop sketch 61. I loved this sketch! There was a twist to decorate the inside of the card as well. That was an easy one for me cuz I usually do, I just never photograph them. I forgot to take the picture until after I had already given it to him, so that's why the color is so off. I took the picture with my cell phone in my grandma's kitchen : )
Paper: CTMH Notebook
Stamps: front- Ippity
inside- Verve
CTMH brads, misc ribbon
