Pumpkin Boo!

Hello! I hope everyone has had a good start of the week.... Mine could be better. Our air conditioner was having some problems with massive condensation over the weekend and we thought we had it mostly taken care of, until Sunday when I realized that my craft room floor had flooded. : ( So hubby and I took everything out of the little office and it's now in stacks on the family room floor. I'm just praying my paper doesn't have a musty smell now!

I had made this card on Saturday before the flood : ) A dear woman at work found me some adorable Halloween tags at a garage sale and this is the card I made for her with a few of them. I used the sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges #153 (I'm a sketch addict too Kristine!) The paper is from an old CTMH pack, I honestly don't even remember the name. I added some misc twine and ribbon. The Boo! sentiment is from Amy R Stamps. I'm also entering the card for Cute Card Thursday #233: Autumn Gold.

Thanks for looking! I'm hoping to get enough supplies out to be able to make my card for the next ABC Challenge. I've been looking forward to it, it's going to be a fun one!

Hubby's Bird-day

Hello everyone! I hope you're all having a good week. I'm home with a sick little girl today... hopefully this won't last long! I grabbed a moment to post quick! This card was for my husband's birthday on Monday. He was born 2 days after St. Patrick's day, hence the name Patrick : ) That's my super creative in laws, lol! I used Sketchy Thursday #164 for the layout and kept it simple. The image is from Bugaboo and is colored with Copics. The sentiment is Verve. The paper is from a past Key Ingredient kit, and I honestly don't remember which paper pack it is. Just a CTMH swirl and some misc brads and ribbon and I'm done! This card is also my submission for Crazy 4 Challenges #128: to use green on your cards.

Baby's starting to look wound down again so I'm off! Thanks for looking!

ETA: Woo-Hoo I was chosen as Sketchy Thursday's featured Sketch Artist for this card, I'm sooo excited! Thanks so much Tracy!

The Perfect Pair

Hello everyone! It's the first of the month already!! Where did January go? Oh well, welcome February by playing along with us at The ABC Challenge. Today's challenge is I for In Pairs and it is sponsored by the super cute Stamp Fairy. I just love this image, is there a cuter pair? This is for my dad to give to my mom for Valentine's Day.... another fabulous pair, lol! The sketch is Sketchbook Saturday #45. A couple pairs of pearls and a pair of pins round out my Perfect Pair card.... wow I need to stop I'm starting to stutter!

The Crate Paper patterned papers, sentiment sticker, ribbon, and pins are all from January's Key Ingredient Kit. The pearls are CTMH. I colored the sweet Stamp Fairy image with Copics.

This card is also my submission for Crazy 4 Challenges #121: lots of layers and Paper Sundaes Valentine challenge.

Lil Bro's birthday!

Hello everyone! I hope your week is going better than mine, lol! My family is all sick, except my husband, and he's out of town for work all week! So not much fun going on in the Meyer household, and not a lot of card making! I did have to get out of bed to make my "little" brother a birthday card, he turned 21 today! Sooo hard to believe. He has grown into such a wonderful man though, and I'm so proud of him!

Ok enough mush out of me! I know this is more of a summer image from Hambo digi stamps, but I just loved it with this Gina K sentiment. My brother is a farm boy at heart so it fits! And who knows, maybe it'll bring warmer weather... a girl can hope : )

I used January's SFYTT, loved it! This is also my submission for Crazy 4 Challenges #120, because he'll always be my "little" brother! The paper is October Afternoon and the brads and photo edge is CTMH.

Thanks for looking, and have a great rest of the week!

Anniversary Bear

Hello! I finally have my August SFYTT card to share! This was made for my mom to give my dad for their anniversary, but I wasn't able to photograph it before she picked it up. She was finally able to drop it back off at my house yesterday. Then I couldn't get my photo editing program to work, so this has been quite a challenge getting this ready to share! But I did really enjoy making it, this little bear from Stamp Fairy just kept making me smile while I was coloring him. This is also my submission for Crazy 4 Challenges #102: to make a male themed card and Stampin Sisters in Christ's recipe challenge. Thanks for looking!

1 Sketch, 2 Cards

I have 2 cards to share today, both using the same sketch and design, but I loved both of the images and wanted to show both : ) I had started out coloring the cute Tin Man freebie from Bugaboo. I then made a 5.5 square card using The Sweet Stop sketch #94. I thought the Tin Man was a little small for my card, I felt there was too much plain space, so I made an A2 card with the same layout and everything. I loved the layout and didn't want to throw it away, so I colored the monkey image that I had printed out a bit bigger than the Tin Man(even though the cute gears on the paper don't quite go with the image! I worked with what I had already printed!) These cards are also my submission for Crazy 4 Challenges #73: to make a Valentine's card and since I love Bugaboo images these are also for Catch the Bug's February challenge. Thanks for looking!

Staying Young

My aunt's 50th birthday is coming up and she is very traumatized by the thought! My mom asked me to make a "classy, black" card for her to give. My husband said that was an oxymoron but I tried my best! I love my Gorjuss girls stamps and think this one's attitude matched Becky's well! I think she will love it. The sentiment says, "The secret to staying young is... to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age- Lucille Ball." I used Card Patterns Sketch 59 for the layout. This is also my submission for Crazy 4 Challenges 32 to use 1 ribbon, 2 brads, and 3 punches on your card. My card is also mostly black, although I did through in a little red on the sweet girl, for Cute Card Thursday Challenge 107 Mono Mania!

Twinkle, Twinkle

Even though Bailey is only 2 months old, I couldn't stop thinking about her while I was coloring this image. This card is inspired by the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge #26 from 1 John 4:10, to make a card letting someone know how much God loves them. It is my prayer that my children never doubt how much they are loved, not only by Patrick and myself, but by God as well. The inside of the card is stamped with "You're such a blessing." My camera battery died before I had taken the inside shot! I used the Friday Sketchers sketch #89, I really love how it turned out. Now that I've learned how to do the feather blending technique with my Copics, I apparently can't stop! The Copic Creations challenge #22 is to use Copics to color embellishments. I colored the rhinestones with YR12, although it doesn't show up well in the picture. I had also colored a button for the middle of the flowers, but it didn't turn out too well, way too pink for my taste, so a brad did the trick : ) The card is red for Crazy 4 Challenges and has bling also for the Our Daily Bread Designs challenge.
