It's Q's turn over at ABC Challenges, and we want to see your quilts... background, paper, image, you choose! We are sponsored by one of my absolute favorites, Bugaboo stamps! Play along for a chance to win.

I used Bugaboo's Flower Trio digi stamp on my card. The paper and ribbon are from a past KI kit. I used Card Patterns #167 as my base sketch. This card is also my submission for this week's Catch the Bug color challenge. I love these colors together!

Thanks for looking, I hope you have a chance to play along with us... don't forget to link your challenge at the ABC Challenge blog for a chance to win!

Scripture Gift Set

Hello! I actually had some time to stamp this past weekend... gasp! It felt so wonderful to create again! I decided to make a gift set to give to my pastor. There has been a lot of sad events going around the congegration lately, I pray these cards will bring comfort! I used February's Key Ingredients kit for all of the cards. I tried to keep them gender neutral, so no flowers : ) I love how they turned out! I used Card Patterns sketches for them all.

The first card uses a scripture stamp from Taylored Expressions. The metal embellie is from CTMH. The sketch I started with is Card Patterns #154.

The second scripture stamp is from Our Daily Bread designs. For this card I used Card Patterns #152.

Lastly... another ODBD scripture stamp. This card started as Card Patterns #155.

Well that was a long post, lol! Thanks for looking!

Thinking of You

Hello! This week has been very trying, and I've been making cards to unwind at night. The good side to that is I have a que of cards waiting to be shared! The first is one I made for a friend who lost her pregnancy with twins last week. I pray that this card brings her comfort!

I started with Card Patterns #146, although the final result doesn't reflect it so much! The patterned paper is from Jillybean Soup. I received it, the ribbon, and the journaling card in November's KI kit. The stamp sets are from Taylored Expressions too (they are my something new for Cute Card Thursday's #198... I had a bit of fun with Taylor's Black Friday sale!) I picked up the flower at Micheals, it's from Recollections.

As always, thanks for looking! I'll be seeing you soon! Plus sneak peaks for Sugar Nellie will be coming soon! I'm so excited, it is going to be great!

Embossed Wise Men

Hello again! Can you believe it is already December 1st? I tell ya, November FLEW by! A panic has started in my craft room... my teensy weensy stack of **4** Christmas cards isn't going to get me very far! I'd better get cracking on that before they turn into Valentine cards! Luckily for me there's a new ABC Challenge today, and it's perfect for holiday cards... E for Embossing! The challenge is being sponsored by The Ribbon Girl... isn't their ribbons just gorgeous! And all the charms... love!

For my card I started with Card Patterns #143, although I will admit I did a lot of altering to the sketch! I used one of my all time favorite Christmas sets, Christmas Blessings from Taylored Expressions. I embossed the image and sentiment with gold embossing powder from Stampin Up. Seriously this stuff is so old I'm surprised it still melts! I sponged the edges of the cardstock to make the embossing pop even more.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a chance to play with us in the next 2 weeks and maybe even win some great ribbon!

other supplies: CTMH patterned paper, gold ribbon, pearls. Misc cream ribbon

Dazzled Christmas!

It's a busy Tuesday on my blog today! If you're looking for my Sugar Nellie post, it's below! But it's also the 15th of the month, which means it's time for another ABC Challenge! Today's challenge is D for Dazzle! It is being sponsored by the sooo cute Bugaboo stamps, be sure to play along for a chance to win some great digis.

When I first saw this challenge, my initial thought was of that guy on the latest Project Runway who bedazzled everything! But since I'm so behind on my Christmas cards, I decided to bedazzle Christmas instead! Unfortunately, this time of year I don't see the sun, and my photos show it! The dazzle of my card is so lost! The MME background paper is glittered and so subtly sparkly if that's possible! I used a Spellbinder's embossing plate and sponged white ink around it to make the snowflakes pop a little. Then I took my clear Spica glitter pen and glittered the snowflakes. To go with the CTMH Christmas sentiment stamp, I cut the Merry with my Cricut and added just a touch of Stickles. The same sweet friend who makes my crochet embellies for my cards, also made this snowflake. My layout is Card Patterns #141. Super simple, but sweet!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a chance to play along with us and show your Dazzled creation! Good luck in winning that fabulous prize : )

I Treasure You

Hello! Tuesday is my day to post for the Sugar Nellie DT and I have my first card to share today...yay!!I used the sweet Bear Hug stamp for today's card, you can find her here at Funky Kits. I used Card Patterns #133, although I did alter it a teensybit : ) I learned that the cheapo lace from Walmart doesn't dye well... but I attempted something new and it looks cute anyways! As always, thanks for looking!

Sweet Summer

HELLO!! I am bursting at the seams... I was chosen to be on the design team for Sugar Nellie stamps! I was so excited when I received my email from Gayle- I jumped up so hard I accidently kicked my son! Poor guy was just trying to clean up his art space : ) I wanted to celebrate by playing with the first rubber stamp I EVER bought online- this cutie from Sugar Nellie! My mom is in the hospital today for a procedure on her heart (everything is fine!) and I'm going to bring this to her with some flowers since she was bummed when she found out she'd have to stay overnight! I used Card Patterns sketch #132 and the card came together very quickly. Sometimes you gotta love clean and simple! Thanks for looking!

Cocoa Penguin

Hello! I hope you're all having a great Christmas Eve! I just got off work and wanted to post this quick before getting ready to head to my aunt and uncle's house to get the festivities started : ) I had this image colored already, and with Card Patterns sketch #95 this card came together really quickly. I'm sure my aunt and uncle will like it, although all I see when I look at it is the crooked brads that are driving me crazy! Is anyone else like that? Anyways, thanks for taking a look, crooked brads and all : )

Autumn House

Hello! The weather has been so beautiful here lately, I haven't had the air on for a week. I love the breeze blowing through the house and the sound of the birds, it makes me happy : ) It's really put me in the mood to make my cards for Thanksgiving. It is my absolute favorite time of year as well as one of my fav holidays, my birthday is Nov 27th so it's fallen on Thanksgiving many times to add to the festivities : ) I've done a Christmas card workshop in the past where I provide all the supplies to make 10 Christmas cards. This year a few people have asked me to make sets of cards to sell, and I've decided to take the challenge a little further and make a couple Thanksgiving sets as well. This is the first card I've made for the set. I used Card Patterns Sketch # 81 as my starting point. The "brads" in the corners are actually "bullets" from a T-shirt my brother bought at a Brooks & Dunn concert. He was over for supper one night and was picking them off his shirt, he said they looked girly. After teasing him about buying a girly shirt (he is my little brother after all) I made him put them all in a baggy for me to use someday! Thanks for looking!

This is also the first card I've made using my new Gina K Designs cardstock as a base... I LUV IT! It holds up so well!

Dinomite Birthday

Hello! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I actually got quite a bit of stamping done so I'll actually have posts this week, yay me! I made this card for Caleb's birthday, it is so hard to believe my little boy is 6! He started kindergarten last week- it's going great so far, but we figured it would, he's such a social boy- my total opposite! He is obsessed with dinosaurs now and knows so much about them, it's amazing. When I'm reading his books to him at night if I mispronounce one of the dino's names I get called out on it right away, that's a lot of pressure on mommy! : ) As soon as I saw the dinosaur digital stamps from Bugaboo I knew that he would love coloring them and I also used 2 for his birthday card. I used Card Patterns Sketch #79. I loved this sketch and used it again on another card I'll show later this week. Thanks for taking a look!

My Inspiration

I had a wonderful Mother's day, I hope all the other mothers out there did too! Caleb gave me a
ship made out of Legos, lucky me! I also got a beautiful plant and a piece of cheesecake, my kids know the way to my heart : ) Most of the cards I've had time to make lately have been Mother's day cards. This is the card I made for my grandma. The sentiment says "You have been my inspiration, my confidante, my friend. Because of you I've learned to love, to forgive, and to live a life filled with purpose." This definately describes my relationship with my grandma. I used Card Patterns Sketch 63 for this one. I loved this sketch, and really liked how my card turned out. This is also my submission for The Pink Elephant 66 to use yellow, design paper, and buttons on your card.

Staying Young

My aunt's 50th birthday is coming up and she is very traumatized by the thought! My mom asked me to make a "classy, black" card for her to give. My husband said that was an oxymoron but I tried my best! I love my Gorjuss girls stamps and think this one's attitude matched Becky's well! I think she will love it. The sentiment says, "The secret to staying young is... to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age- Lucille Ball." I used Card Patterns Sketch 59 for the layout. This is also my submission for Crazy 4 Challenges 32 to use 1 ribbon, 2 brads, and 3 punches on your card. My card is also mostly black, although I did through in a little red on the sweet girl, for Cute Card Thursday Challenge 107 Mono Mania!
