Joy to the World

Hello! I'm back with another card for Christmas Card Challenges. This week is Anything Goes.

I only had a little stamping time this past week so needed this card to be quick. I used Clean & Simple's FTL #283, I was definitely inspired by this DT card. The paper is from Basic Grey: 25th & Pine. The flowers and pearl center are WOC and the sentiment is from Technique Tuesday. Some misc sequins finish it off.

Thanks for looking!

I'm also playing along with 52 Christmas Card Throwdown's challenge: Paper Flowers.

Hello! Sorry I've been MIA, it was another crazy week... Thankfully next week is Spring Break, I definitely will be getting me some craft time.

Another challenge is up at Christmas Card Challenges. This week our optional challenge is Chevrons.

I made a fairly simple card, but I love it! I used some great papers from Fancy Pants: Timber Grove pack. LOVE this paper pack! The sketch is MFTWSC #165. The flower die is from MFT and the sentiment is from Verve.

Thanks for looking, I hope you have a chance to play along!

Friends

Hello! Is this week over yet? I kept thinking Wednesday was Thursday all day long so today has felt like Friday, I'm going to be so bummed when I realize I have to work tomorrow, lol! We're snowed in tonight so I thought I'd pop in quick and post a card I hadn't shared yet.

The papers are from an older CTMH pack. The flower and sentiment are both from Verve Stamps. I used copics to color the flower. I love the look of the black and cream with a pop of red. I'm also playing along with Inkspirational Challenge #50: tic tac toe (flower, ribbon, pearls)

Thanks for looking!

Season's Greetings

Hello! This week's Christmas Card Challenge is Trees, and I sooo love how this card turned out : )

I used some adorable Paper Smooches stamps, they have some great winter images! Plus there's currently a Paper Smooches: Fun & Cute challenge, and how cute is this snowman and his bird friend?? I colored these in with copics. The paper pad is Santa & Friends from The Paper Studio. I used a scalloped die from MFT to create the snowbanks. Each layer is separated by foam tape, I love the dimension! Some pearls finish it off!

Thanks for looking! I hope you have a chance to play along.

Friends

Hello! There is another challenge up at Christmas Card Challenges. This week our optional challenge is Blue and Silver.

I modified the challenge slightly to blue and gray... The papers I used are from Echo Park: Winter Wishes and the sketch is C.C. Designs challenge #6. I colored this cute image from C.C. Designs with colored pencils and OMS and paper pieced their sweaters and the bear's hat with some scraps. I added some snow effects, along with some glass effects to the hearts and his hat band. The sentiment is from Amy R Stamps. Some ribbon and a CTMH button finish it off.

Thanks for looking! I hope you have a chance to play along, with as cold as it's been it'd might as well be Christmas time...

And as a side note, I filmed my first "make a card" video last night and think I did alright for my first try, but am having trouble with the editing portion. I'm using Microsoft Movie Maker. Anyone have anything different (and cheap) to recommend, or know of a good tutorial. The ones I've found so far are WAY more than I need, I'm not trying to make an Oscar winner afterall!!

Happy Birthday To You

Hello! Our pastor's 50th birthday was this past Sunday and his wife surprised him with a card shower from the congregation. Not nearly as cool as his kids who surprised him with a puppy, but nice nonetheless. Here is the card from the Meyer's : )

I used Clean&Simple's sketch #278 for the layout, except I omitted the 3rd circle and added staples from my Tim Holtz tiny attacher instead. The paper is a scrap from October Afternoon: Campfire and the sentiment is from Verve. Super simple yet nice for a guy.

He didn't get to keep the puppy by the way... poor guy...

Let's Party!

Hello and happy February! Today's post is a bitter sweet one for me, as it will be my last card as an ABC Challenge DT member. This was the first design team I was ever asked to be a part of and I have loved it. I just needed to step down for a short break. But don't worry, as always the rest of the DT will be there for plenty of inspiration!

Our challenge is Embellish, use 3 or more embellies on your card. For my card I used an image from one of our sponsors, Kenny K. She's colored with copics and some Spica glittered lips : ) The paper is from Fancy Pants: Happy Go Lucky. I added some ribbon, a button, gems, and some stars cut using a MFT die for my embellishments. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.

As always, Thanks for looking!

Friends Are The Gift

Hello! I'm so excited to share my latest card for Christmas Card Challenges. Our optional challenge for this week is to make a 1 layer card.

Amy Rysavy colored on kraft cardstock with her copics in a couple of her cards in her 2013 Christmas series and I loved the look. I thought a 1 layer card would be a great way to try my hand at it! I stamped this super cute image from Tiddly Inks and totally love how she looks colored on the kraft. I used a prismacolor pencil for the white details. The sentiment is from AmyR stamps. a CTMH snowflake button and some pearls finish it off!

I'm also playing along with Tiddly Inks challenge # 124: clean & simple. Thanks for looking!

I Mustache A Question...

Hello! I'm just dropping in quick to share the card I made for my mom to give my uncle for his birthday.

My Uncle Dennis always had a mustache when I was growing up. It was so weird to see him for the longest time after he shaved it off a few years ago. He was the first person I thought about when I saw this month's Stamp of the Month from Taylored Expressions. So it was only fitting I used it for his birthday card. I printed the inside so it said "You're how old??"

I was totally inspired by this card Chera made for Clean & Simple's FTL #274. I initially had the mustaches as the negative die cut like Chera's card, but decided I wanted to use different scraps of my Webster's Pages: Recorded papers.

Thanks for looking!

I used Sketch Saturday #292 for the layout.

Heaven Sent

Hello! I made a baby card for a co-worker tonight and wanted to stop by and share!

Since I needed this card to be pretty quick I decided to not use an image that needed coloring (once my daughter sees me coloring it becomes a marker party!) The sentiments are from AmyR stamps. I just love that verse- so true! The paper is Webster's Pages: New Year New You. I used Deconstructed Sketch #133 for the layout, although I did alter the main panel to be horizontal.

I am really happy how it turned out. Thanks for stopping by!

Greetings

Sorry this post is going up so late, I've had problems getting it to publish for some reason today....

I'm just popping in quick to share my card for Christmas Card Challenges! This week our optional challenge is No Coloring.

I decided it would be a great time to use an image I've had for awhile but have been kind of intimidated to color. It's from Sparkle Creations, now that she's been inked up once I'll need to get her colored! I just added some felt snowflakes, sequins, and gold washi tape. The papers are sooo old that I don't even have the collection marked anymore, sorry!

Thanks for looking! I hope you have a chance to play along.

Lovely

Hello and happy new year!! I'm ringing in 2014 with ABC Challenges. We're on to C for colorful.

I used an image from Sherri Baldy, who is one of the sponsors for our challenge. I thought I'd try something different and used watercolor pencils and Derwent Inktense pencils to color my image. I love those pencils, but definitely need to keep practicing! The paper is Webster's Pages: New Year New You. A simple ribbon and button finish it off.
