Merry Christmas

Hello! There is another challenge up at the Christmas Card Challenges blog. This week our challenge is Anything Goes.

I used the Deconstructed Sketch #139 and this card came together really quickly. I used the CuttleBug Swiss Dots embossing folder on my background. The papers are from Pink Paislee's Snow Villiage. A simple focal image from Verve stamps and a pearl finish it off.

I also have another video showing how this card was made- watch it on You Tube here!

Thanks for looking!

Heaven Sent

Hello! I made a baby card for a co-worker tonight and wanted to stop by and share!

Since I needed this card to be pretty quick I decided to not use an image that needed coloring (once my daughter sees me coloring it becomes a marker party!) The sentiments are from AmyR stamps. I just love that verse- so true! The paper is Webster's Pages: New Year New You. I used Deconstructed Sketch #133 for the layout, although I did alter the main panel to be horizontal.

I am really happy how it turned out. Thanks for stopping by!

Peace

Hello again! There is another challenge up at Christmas Card Challenges. This week our optional challenge is to make a masculine card.

I love the Winter Wishes paper pack from Echo Park and even though it has a touch of purple in it, I loved the plaid paper for a masculine card. I colored this cute snowman from CTMH with copics and then added Stickles to his hat and ground and then glossy accents to the bird, and his nose and buttons. The sentiment is from Verve and is embossed in silver. I used Deconstructed Sketch #130.

Thanks for looking! I hope you have a chance to play along. Have a safe and Merry Christmas on Wednesday!

Hello

Hello! There's another great challenge up for ABC Challenges- Words. Just add a sentiment to your cards, easy right??

We are sponsored by Stamp Fairy and I colored this cutie and her puppy with Copics. The paper is an ancient pack from CTMH and the sentiment is Verve. I used Deconstructed Sketch #120 for the layout. Some Prima flowers and CTMH brads finish it off.

Thanks for looking, I hope you have a chance to play along!

Tilda's Joy

Hello! I have a card to share for both ABC Challenges: U for Unlimited (anything goes) and Christmas Card Challenges: Something new! Pretty easy to combine those two... hint, hint... :)

My card uses a new-to-me paper pack from Echo Park: Winter Wishes. This was also my first time using this super pretty Tilda stamp, although I'll admit I've had her for awhile now... The sentiment is from Verve and the sketch is Deconstructed Sketch #116.

Thanks for looking, I hope you have a chance to play along with one or both of these great challenges!

Winter Wishes

Hello! There is another fun challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges, this week the optional challenge is to use a non-traditional Holiday image.

I just received this cute baby image from CC Designs this week, thought it was perfect for this challenge! My cousin and his girlfriend had a baby girl last week so I have cute little girls on my mind! I colored her with copics. The sketch is Deconstructed Sketch #114. I used some cute papers from The Paper Studio. The sentiment is from Verve.

Have a great week, Thanks for looking!

Expect Hope

Hello! I had mentioned last week how I have been making quite a few sympathy cards recently. I thought I would stop by quick and share the latest. I made this one for a co-worker who lost her father this week.

I used Deconstructed Sketch #103, love it! The sentiment is from TE and the paper is MME: Collectable. I used some Prima flowers with pearls and a misc butterfly to finish it off.

Thanks for looking!

Noel

Hello, it's Sunday and I have another card for Christmas Card Challenges. This week's optional challenge is stitching.

I chose to use faux stitching on my card using some dies from Lil Inker Designs. I love their stitched dies and have used them so much lately, unfortunately most of my cards lately haven't made their way onto my blog... I'm hoping to work on that. I used gold embossing powder and an AmyR stamp for the sentiment. I decided to cover my die cut snowflake with gold ink and also used it to ink around the edges of my card. Note to self, next time use the embossing powder instead of ink... I had gold ink everywhere because it took so long to dry! I used Deconstructed Sketch # 102, although it ended up quite altered.

Well thanks for looking! Have a wonderful holiday weekend in the US!

Peace & Goodwill

Hello! I'm back with another card for Christmas Card Challenges! The optional challenge this week is Candles.

I used a super sweet digi image from ATS and colored her with my Copics. It doesn't show the best in the pics, but I attempted to add a yellow candle glow to her face without making her look jaundiced : ) The paper is 7 Gypsies: Santa's Journey and the sentiment is once again from my much loved PTI Signature Christmas set. I used some misc pearls and ribbon to finish it off. The sketch is Deconstructed Sketch #101

Thanks for looking, I hope you have a chance to play along!

Reindeer Holidays

Hello and Happy Easter! There is another challenge up for Christmas Card Challenges. This week's challenge is Reindeer.

I used a sweet reindeer and sentiment from TE, colored him with my Copics, and added some Stickles bling to his hat. The paper is from Echo Park: Very Merry Christmas. The sketch is Deconstructed Sketch #95. Just some misc ribbon and pearls to finish it off!

Thanks for looking! Enjoy your week!

Be Still

Hello! Sunday wasn't a great day for me. Not to drag you into the pity party, lol, but I definitely needed some stamp therapy. I thought this stamp from Verve was great to reflect on while I was unwinding. It definitely worked and I'm happy with how the card turned out!

I used Deconstructed Sketch #91 for the layout and MME's Miss Caroline: Dolled Up papers. Some CTMH ribbon and Doodlebug pearls finish it off.

Thanks for looking!

Birthday Party!

Hello! I'm here today with a special card. I love being part of the design team for ABC Challenges and today is our wonderful leader, Julie's birthday! We decided it would be great as a team to do a special card to celebrate.

Since Julie loves her Tilda's I knew I wanted to use one for the card. I colored her with Copics. I know it doesn't show in the pics, but I used my Spica glitter pen on the butterflies. I used Deconstructed Sketch #90  for the layout. The paper pack is MME: The Sweetest Thing Tangerine. I just added some Prima flowers and misc pearls and twine. The sentiment is GKD and I used a MFT die to cut it out.

Happy Birthday Julie, I hope you have a wonderful day! Thank you for all you do!

Angel Valentine

Hello! I had some time to stamp today and thought I'd stop in and share quick.

I originally sat down to make a baby card for a friend, but decided after I put the papers together that it looked more like a Valentine's day card, so I changed images and made a card for my mom to give a friend. The angel is from The Cottage Stamper. I colored her with my copics. The papers are Crate Paper- Paper Heart from a past KI kit. A dear friend from work made me the beautiful crochet heart. I used Deconstructed Sketch #85 for the layout. I used a MFT border die in place of the scallops in the sketch and added little bling to it.

Thanks for looking! Hopefully I'll be inspired for a baby card tomorrow, lol!

Thank You Wren

Hello everyone! I hope your weekend is a good one so far. Mine is definitely busy, but I guess that's just a continuation of a busy week! A friend from work and I joined a gym and have been doing classes in the evenings. She's trying to get ready for a trip and I'm just trying to start making some healthy habits. Tomorrow I start trying to make better choices with my food, wish me luck! : ) Sorry for all the babble, I guess I'm trying to hold myself accountable somehow!

Now that's out of the way, I did get some stamping time this afternoon. I LOVE Tiddly Inks images, unfortunately, my printer is finicky about whether it will print on the thicker paper, you just never know... grr... So I was so excited when they started carrying clear stamps in the store and picked up a few recently.

I colored Wryn with my Copics and paired her up with some Bo Bunny papers, I'm not sure which collection, it was in a special pack I got at Archivers. I used Deconstructed Sketch #83 for the layout. I love sketches and have been wanting to play with this one since I first saw it. The sentiment is from the same set as Wryn. I feel like I can't put my Stickles down lately, some more is added to her heart flowers. The ribbon is from a past KI kit.

Well, that's all for today, I'll be back tomorrow with my CCC card. Thanks for looking!

I'm also entering this card in Tiddly Inks Challenge #101: Anything goes

Z for Zoo!

Hello again! I'm back today with the latest ABC Challenge- Z for Zoo. This challenge is sponsored by the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop. Join us for a chance to win a great prize, and don't forget the DT call!

My card is for one of my son's good friends birthday and uses one of my older CTMH stamps. I colored the cute giraffe with Prismacolor pencils- haven't done that in awhile (and it shows, lol)! The paper is from BoBunny and the sentiment is from Amuse stamps. A CTMH button and misc twine finish the card off. The sketch is Deconstructed Sketch #72. I used a MFT die-namic for both the flag panel and the sentiment, I am seriously loving this thing!

I hope you have a chance to join us. Visit the ABC Challenge blog to see all the other DT creations!

Sunflowers

Hello! I got my craft room hauled back in... ok most of it! But I had to at least get enough supplies out to play along with Taylored Expressions Last Card Standing challenge. You can find the details here, wouldn't it be awesome to win?? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Project Runway : ) So of course I had to play!

For my card I used Deconstructed Sketch #69 and an old CTMH paper pack, Back Country. The stamps are both Taylored Expressions, I paper pieced the sunflowers after I colored them with Copics. That was fun to cut out, lol. The button is from a past KI kit, misc twine, and CTMH brads finish it off.

Thanks for looking!

Girlfriend

Two blog posts in two days?? When was the last time I was able to do that, lol? I loved making this card with Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #50. And since there was no coloring and very little stamping, it came together sooo quickly! Plus I was able to use up some scraps of Simple Stories-Fabulous papers from this month's KI kit. I think one of my favorite things about this paper pack is all the small "tags." All I did was stamp "Friend" from a Verve set over the image. The sentimet on the circle tag is also Verve. While I was making this card I was thinking of a co-worker who is always saying "girlfriend." When I showed Caleb my card he asked why I had a picture for a girl's bathroom on my card.... hopefully she'll look at it like I do and see girlfriend instead of bathroom!

As always thanks for looking, I might even have another card to share this week too, gasp! : )

Autumn Day

Hello! Monday totally drug by today... I'm so thankful it's only a 3 day work week! Speaking of thankful, I have a couple of cards I'm giving family members for Thanksgiving to show the next couple days. Patrick picked out this card to go to his Aunt, she is hosting Thanksgiving for his giant family. So since she won't let us bring anything (other than "your smiling faces"), I'm bringing her a card for all the work she will put into the meal. I might also sneak in something small : )

I used Deconstucted Sketch #28 for the layout... seriously LOVE this one. I will definately use it again, and next time I will include the big, loopy bow. I just felt the simple twine would go best with the scarecrow and simple design I chose for this card. I used a super cute Bugaboo digital stamp for this week's Catch the Bug Thanksgiving challenge. The DP, brads, button, and sentiment are all CTMH. I finished it off with some yellow liquid pearls. I'm loving this stuff, it's on my card for tomorrow too! I'll see you then, thanks for looking!

Birthday Girl

Hello! I made this card for my mom to give a friend for her birthday. I was given instructions to not "make the card mean just because it's her 60th birthday." I don't think this cutie could be mean if she wanted to : ) I used last week's Deconstructed Sketch, although I did flip the embellies a bit. This is also my submission for ATS Wednesday Challenge: anything goes. While I was looking through some of the past challenge's I was shocked to find one of my cards had won week 75 and I didn't know it... oops! Figured that one out a little late! Lesson learned: if I'm going to enter a challenge I should probably keep better track of them, lol.

Copics, Prima flowers, MS edge punch, CTMH ribbon, swirl and brad.

As always, thanks for looking!
