Joy

Happy Sunday, I hope your weekend is going well! The kids got their flu shots on Friday and Bailey had a fever yesterday from it. She was one grouchy little girl! No stamp time for mom this weekend so far, hopefully today will be better and that will change! Luckily I had time earlier in the week, because there's a new Christmas Card Challenge today: rip it, tear it, sand it.

I had a lot of fun with this challenge and really love how my card came out! I used a super cute image from CC Designs and colored them with my copics. The joy sentiment is from Papertrey ink. I tore some of the papers from WeRMemoryKeepers Winter Frost for the snowbanks behind them and added Stickles to the torn edges to make it a pretty snow :) The snowflake is from CTMH, I'm proud I'm finally starting to use these more, I've been hoarding them for years!

The layout of the card is Mojo Monday #274, just flipped around.

Thanks for looking! I hope you have a chance to join in with Christmas Card Challenges!

Fairy Birthday

Hello! I thought I'd stop in share a card I made this week for a co-worker to give her granddaughter for her 2nd birthday.

I printed this adorable digi image from Sugar Nellie and colored her in with my copics. I added bling to her flowers and wings, although the pics really don't show it! The paper is an old pack from CTMH, I don't even remember its name anymore. I used The Sweet Stop sketch 191 for the layout. I scored the cute crochet flower at my local scrapbook store for 80% off on New Years, woo hoo! Just some misc ribbon and CTMH brads to finish it off!

I'm also entering this card into Simon Says Stamp something new challenge. (the pretty flower!)
As always, thanks for looking!

Rejoice

Hello and happy 2013!  I'm kicking off the new year with ABC Challenges. Our next challenge is E for Embossing.

Two of our friends from church were married on Sunday and this is the card I made for them. I used a CTMH stamp and silver embossing powder to make the background panel. I stamped a verse from Verve stamps onto some WeR Memory Keepers Winter Frost paper. Some ribbon and a CTMH crochet flower, button, and some pearls finished it off.

Thanks for looking, I hope 2013 is a great one for you and your family! I hope you are able to play along with us all at ABC Challenges!

I'm entering this card into Dutch Dare Challenges: Celebration (yay, a wedding!)

Peace

Hello again! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
Now it's time to get ready for next year, lol. Hopefully you'll join us at the Christmas Card Challenge blog to help you be prepared with cards at least! Our challenge for this week is paint.

I had the perfect card made for this challenge... so cute and painted pretty. Unfortunately, while I was trying to transfer it from my camera to PhotoDraw to be edited, all my pictures were lost and I had already given the card away : ( Luckily I had this card already edited... does Stickles count as paint?? Yeah, I didn't think so either!

I used more of my all time favorite Simple Stories paper. The cute snowman is from CTMH, the sentiment is AmyR stamps. The snowflakes and stars are a mix of Taylored Expressions and Cuttlebug dies.

Thanks for looking, I hope you have a chance to join us!

I'm playing along with Cute Card Thursday 249: Anything goes, and Chocolate, Coffee & Cards 29: Snowmen

Jingle All The Way

Hello everyone, Merry Christmas Eve Eve, as my son is calling it! I hope you all are able to spend time with family for the holiday. Maybe squeeze in some stamping time to play along with us at Christmas Card Challenges?? This week we want to see bells on your creation.

I had every intention of picking up some bells to add to a card, but last week at work was awful and I just didn't have any energy after work to go shopping. So I stamped some bells from Verve stamps. The sentiment is from the same set. I used a CTMH paper pack, misc twine, ribbon, and pearls. The star is a Sizzix die and I added Stickles to the edges to make it pop a bit.

Thanks for looking! Enjoy your Sunday and play along!
