Celebrate the Season

 Hello! Am I the only person wondering where June went? Maybe it was all the overtime at work and Caleb's baseball games that made the difference, I dunno! All I'm thinking is that if the rest of the year goes by as fast as the first half, I'm sure glad I've been making Christmas cards all year long with Christmas Card Challenges! Our optional challenge this week is paper piecing.

I used this cute little snowman from CTMH and paper pieced his hat and little bird friend with CTMH Aspen paper scraps. I used some more scraps for the rest of the card. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions. I used some Prismacolor pencils for the little bit of shading and added a bunch of Stickles for the snow. Just some CTMH brads finish it off. The layout was Sweet Stop Sketch #217.

Merry & Bright

 Hello! So sorry for my absence lately. things have been very busy around here! I don't think I've mentioned here that I'm a nurse. Work has been crazy and I have my ACLS re-certification test this week so I've been studying as much as I can.

I took a break from studying and made a card for this week's Christmas Card Challenge. This week's optional challenge is an inspiration challenge: Christmas decor. 

It felt really good to sit down and make a card, it's been awhile! I had to first clean up my desk to find room, lol! I used some papers from CTMH, they are from 2 different packs. I used MFT dies for the bulbs and added some string to the top. The sentiment is from Verve.

Seasons Greetings

 Hello again! We have another challenge up at Christmas Card Challenges. This week's optional challenge is Lace.

I am also playing along with PTI's Make it Monday #119: Flagged Borders. I used Echo Park: Very Merry Christmas and cut some flags from scraps. The sentiment is PTI and some misc brads in the lace finish it off.

Wedding Flowers

 Hello! I am so excited to be able to share another card. I had yesterday off and instead of cleaning my house I made a card! My brother in law is getting married this weekend so hubby can't be mad, right? After all it's for his family : )

I struggle with wedding cards for some reason, but I think this one turned out pretty well. Maybe because to me it looks like a birthday card with a wedding sentiment, lol! I used Retro Sketches #66 for the layout. The paper is Cosmo Cricket: Tea for Two. The flower stems are from Verve and I topped them with some MFT die cut flowers and pearls. The sentiment is GKD.

Expect Hope

 Hello! I had mentioned last week how I have been making quite a few sympathy cards recently. I thought I would stop by quick and share the latest. I made this one for a co-worker who lost her father this week.

I used Deconstructed Sketch #103, love it! The sentiment is from TE and the paper is MME: Collectable. I used some Prima flowers with pearls and a misc butterfly to finish it off.
