Sitting Pretty

Yay it's Friday!! I was running out of time to get my Valentine's in the mail, so I had to spend some time last night in my scrap room working away, sigh... This one will be going to Arizona to my grandma. She isn't much for the Iowa winter so she heads south : ) We sure do miss her though and I'm sure this card will make her smile! I used Friday Sketchers #140 (this week's is great too, I'll have to play again later!) All That Scraps has a great Wednesday Challenge: to make a Valentine with no pink or red. There is a tiny bit of red for the roses- but all the other flowers are more orange than they look in the picture. I also used Cute Card Thursday's challenge 151- Hearts & Flowers and Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #104- Button up! 1 Sketch, 2 Cards

I have 2 cards to share today, both using the same sketch and design, but I loved both of the images and wanted to show both : ) I had started out coloring the cute Tin Man freebie from Bugaboo. I then made a 5.5 square card using The Sweet Stop sketch #94. I thought the Tin Man was a little small for my card, I felt there was too much plain space, so I made an A2 card with the same layout and everything. I loved the layout and didn't want to throw it away, so I colored the monkey image that I had printed out a bit bigger than the Tin Man(even though the cute gears on the paper don't quite go with the image! I worked with what I had already printed!) These cards are also my submission for Crazy 4 Challenges #73: to make a Valentine's card and since I love Bugaboo images these are also for Catch the Bug's February challenge. Thanks for looking!

Ribbon Heart Valentine

Hello, thanks for visiting! I had some time to stamp on Saturday after my husband got home from work. It's tax season and he's an accountant so this time is very hectic in our house. I was waiting for him at the door with the kids... it was an "I'll be in my stamp room" moment : ) I am so happy to say that I actually got 3 cards done that night, which for me is huge lately. I'm still not feeling back to normal and Bailey has the flu... again... so I'm very excited to have made cards that I'm happy with! This is the card I made for my dad to give my mom for Valentine's day... she's going to love it! I've loved the look of lace on cards that I've been seeing and wanted to try it, and LOVE how it turned out! I used February's SFYTT. 2 months into it and I'm still on track for the big prize at the end lol! This is also my submission for Stampin Sisters in Christ #75 to make a card with no writing on the front but still signifies love and for Simon Says Stamp challenge: Love is in the air.
