Z for Zoo!

Hello again! I'm back today with the latest ABC Challenge- Z for Zoo. This challenge is sponsored by the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop. Join us for a chance to win a great prize, and don't forget the DT call!

My card is for one of my son's good friends birthday and uses one of my older CTMH stamps. I colored the cute giraffe with Prismacolor pencils- haven't done that in awhile (and it shows, lol)! The paper is from BoBunny and the sentiment is from Amuse stamps. A CTMH button and misc twine finish the card off. The sketch is Deconstructed Sketch #72. I used a MFT die-namic for both the flag panel and the sentiment, I am seriously loving this thing!

I hope you have a chance to join us. Visit the ABC Challenge blog to see all the other DT creations!

Making Memories

Hello! For as slow as this past work week seemed to drag, the weekend sure is fastly disappearing! I hope everyone's weekend is going well anyways. I did have some time in my craft room yesterday and made a card with this little cutie from My Favorite Things.

The layout is the sketch for the October guest designer challenge for MFT- details and sketch are here. Wouldn't that be an awesome honor! I'm really glad I found this challenge last month, so far both sketches have been a lot of fun to play with! I used the PI Picture Perfect stamp and sentiment. I colored her with my Copics and then cut her out. It took me longer to cut her out than it did to put together the entire card, but I think it was definately worth it! The My Mind's Eye paper, wooden heart button, pearls and ribbon are all from September's KI kit. The card base is MFT Hot Fudge cardstock.

This card is also my submission for the Simon Says Stamp challenge: dies or punches. I've used both on my card. The sentiment is stamped onto a flag cut with my MFT Sentiment Strips die, I just cut off one of the ends because of where I had originally placed it on the card... The border is one of my all time most used border punches from Friskars.

Thanks for looking! I'll be back tomorrow with the next ABC Challenge. Don't forget about our DT call!

Penguin in a Box

Hello! This weekend I was able finally get everything moved back into my craft room after the "flood" It took me awhile because I really went through everything and organized. I'm glad I took the time though, it's really nice to have things I use frequently in reach, who'd have thought??  : ) I was able to get some stamping done once I finished organizing and thought I'd play along with some of my favorite challenges that I haven't joined for awhile.

The challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ is to use an image that includes a box. I found this Bugaboo image I had previously printed out and thought this would be a great time to get started on my Christmas cards! This card came together really quickly thanks to a great sketch at Sweet Sunday Sketch. The paper is Mistletoe from CTMH and the sentiment is from a Taylored Expressions set. I stamped it on a flag strip from my new MFT dies that I couldn't seem to put down! Just some misc pearls to finish it off.

This sweet penguin is also my entry for the Catch the Bug's October Anything Goes challenge.

I also want to mention we are having a DT call over at ABC Challenges, all the details are here. It's a very fun group with some of the sweetest ladies! Come and join us!

As always, thanks for looking!

Fishing Bear

Hello.... please forgive me.... I forgot to schedule my ABC Challenge card to post.... So sorry teammates!! I realized it at work this afternoon. A co-worker mentioned "How can it be October 1st already?" and it suddenly hit me! So here it is, better late than never, right?

Today's ABC challenge is Y for Y Chromosome, make a card for a guy. We are sponsored by the soo cute Stamp Fairy. I absolutely fell in love with this image and just love how my card turned out.

The card came together really quickly. The paper is from CTMH, I just added some misc ribbon and pearls. The little flags were cut with a MFT die and I just crimped it myself. I left a sentiment off for the time being, then I can make it for something special later!

Thanks for looking, I hope you have a chance to play along with us!
