Pumpkin Boo!

Hello! I hope everyone has had a good start of the week.... Mine could be better. Our air conditioner was having some problems with massive condensation over the weekend and we thought we had it mostly taken care of, until Sunday when I realized that my craft room floor had flooded. : ( So hubby and I took everything out of the little office and it's now in stacks on the family room floor. I'm just praying my paper doesn't have a musty smell now!

I had made this card on Saturday before the flood : ) A dear woman at work found me some adorable Halloween tags at a garage sale and this is the card I made for her with a few of them. I used the sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges #153 (I'm a sketch addict too Kristine!) The paper is from an old CTMH pack, I honestly don't even remember the name. I added some misc twine and ribbon. The Boo! sentiment is from Amy R Stamps. I'm also entering the card for Cute Card Thursday #233: Autumn Gold.

Thanks for looking! I'm hoping to get enough supplies out to be able to make my card for the next ABC Challenge. I've been looking forward to it, it's going to be a fun one!

Rainy Hello

Hello again! The post-man loved me yesterday... I had 3 boxes come in yesterday, and my husband had 2! Hopefully the man has a cart or something! I like to use sturdier card stock for my card bases so I get a little excited when I find a company with 100 lb cardstock... needless to say I bought one of every color at MFT!! Have to have every possible color available for a perfect match you know, lol! I wanted to try out my new goodies... love it!

I used the sketch for the next guest designer for MFT over at splitcoaststampers here. I originally was going to use a new Pure Innocence stamp, but I remembered this Who's That Girl stamp and thought the raincoats would look great paper pieced! I used the same Echo Park Hello Summer paper for the card. Some Prima flowers and misc buttons and brads and the card was done. The sentiment is from Verve stamps.

Thanks for looking! I have plenty more new supplies now so more cards to come, lol!

Spread your wings

Hello! I know it's been so long since I've been able to update my blog. It has been a crazy place here lately, exactly where did August go??? I'm sure this sounds familiar to many of you too! I have made some goals as far as crafting goes, I'm hoping to get started on my Christmas cards soon, and I have some friends interested in a Christmas card workshop. I did one 3 years ago, and I guess people are needing more cards :) So hopefully I'll have my rear in gear and make some crafting time for myself regularly!

I did have some time this past week and although I didn't make a Christmas card (it helps if you have Christmas paper, I'm hoping to solve that soon!), I really like how it turned out. I used Mojo Monday #257, love all the layers! I used the Doodle Deux paper pack from Prima that was in my August KI kit, which I hadn't even opened yet.... oops! The flower and Trendy Tape that I used in place of the sentiment tag were also from the kit. The sentiment is from Verve, I just stamped it on the dp with the birds, thought it was fitting and those birds are just so cute

Thanks for looking! I'm hoping to see you again soon!

Vanishing Paper!

Hello! It's already the 15th of August!?! Which means that it's time for another ABC Challenge. The challenge for the next two weeks is V for Vanish. We're sponsored by Bugaboo and Tickled Pink Stamps, play along for a chance to win! I used a sweet image from Tickled Pink Stamps, I can just see my tom-boy Bailey as she gets older : )

I'm not going to lie, I had some trouble getting my head around "vanish"! I think that's one reason I like different challenges-different ways people can interpret them. I decided to make some of the papers and supplies I tend to hoard vanish! I used up what paper and some ribbon I had left from a past KI kit, as well as some CTMH brads and hinge. I also positioned the image and raised it a bit so a gift card could be hid behind it as well. I colored the image with Copics and added some Spica glitter pen to the mud and the red on her shirt, as well as the flowers. I used the August SFYTT, although I did end up leaving out the side panel and adding the flowers instead.

Thanks for looking! Be sure to check out the other fabulous vanishing cards from the rest of the design team, I hope you can play along.

Get Well Wishes

Hello! It's time for another ABC Challenge- U for Under the weather. Show us a get well card for a chance to win a prize from Stamp & Create.

My church sponsored a family this past Christmas. Their sweet 2 year old daughter, Khloe, has had a lot of health issues. She had a trach placed when she was an infant and recently had surgery again to remove the trach. She was so strong and her recovery has truly been inspiring! Her mother had mentioned on her blog that Khloe loved to open mail while being hospitalized. We put together a little care package for her, and I made this card to go along... I know it isn't technically a "get well card" and is more of "glad your surgery and recovery went well" but I really wanted to share it!

I colored Tilda with Copics and added Sparkles to her wings and halo. The paper pack is sooo old I honestly have no clue which one it is! It is glittered also, I figured every little girl loves glitter, right?? The verse is from Our Daily Bread Designs. Some misc ribbon, brads, and buttons finish it off, as well as a cross charm from Michaels.

Thanks for looking, I hope you have time to play along!
