P for Pockets

Hello everyone, it's the 15th of the month already! How is that possible? Oh well, one good thing is that means it's time for another ABC Challenge... P for Pockets. Instructions for making the pocket on my card will be at the bottom of my post if you're interested.

For my card I used a super cute Bugaboo image and colored him with Copics. The sentiment is Stampin Up. The Echo Park- Country Drive papers went perfectly with the image!

 Pocket Instructions

1. take a 6x6 piece of double sided patterened paper and fold it lengthwise into a triangle.

2. with the triangle facing away from you, fold the top paper's point down to the base of the triangle. Return it back to the original triangle shape.

3. fold the right and left corners in so they meet along the top crease you made in the last step. Glue them down.

4. refold the top layer down (I cut off the very tips, just personal preference!)

Fabulous Mom

Hello again! I have one more card I was able to make this weekend to share. This is the card I will be giving my mom for Mother's Day. I sooo loved how it turned out. I flipped the Taylored Expressions sketch #157. I will definately use this one again, I love the flags. The Simple Stories- Fabulous patterned papers, flowers, and ribbon are all from the April KI kit... shocker I know! Sorry, I love this kit!

I stamped the wreath from TE Summer Wreath set and used flowers from the kit instead of coloring to give some dimension. I also used some smaller Prima flowers so there was some variation in the flower size. The Mom and sentiment are from Verve.

Girlfriend

 Two blog posts in two days?? When was the last time I was able to do that, lol? I loved making this card with Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #50. And since there was no coloring and very little stamping, it came together sooo quickly! Plus I was able to use up some scraps of Simple Stories-Fabulous papers from this month's KI kit. I think one of my favorite things about this paper pack is all the small "tags." All I did was stamp "Friend" from a Verve set over the image. The sentimet on the circle tag is also Verve. While I was making this card I was thinking of a co-worker who is always saying "girlfriend." When I showed Caleb my card he asked why I had a picture for a girl's bathroom on my card.... hopefully she'll look at it like I do and see girlfriend instead of bathroom!

Mother

Hello! I was able to get a lot of craft time in this past weekend, that hasn't happened in awhile! I was able to make a bunch of cards to show this week...yay! This is the Mother's Day card for my mother-in-law. She loves flowers and gardening so this sweet Bugaboo image was perfect for her! I colored the image in with my Copic markers. The layout is Sketchy Thursday #171. The paper is Simple Stories-Fabulous from April's KI kit... I am sooo in-love with this paper pack. The smaller flower and tag are from the kit too. The sentiment is Verve. Just some Prima flowers, misc ribbon and some Basic Grey brads, and I'm done!

UR Wonderful

 Hello everyone! It's already May 1st?!? Oh my April flew by! Oh well, that means it's time for another ABC Challenge! We're onto O for Orange, sponsored by In2Stamps. At first I'll admit I thought I'd have trouble with the challenge, orange isn't exactly one of my go-to colors. But luckily I had this great paper from Simple Stories Fabulous from April's KI kit to make it easy! I didn't even stamp anything on the outside of this card, the paper pack took care of it all, lol! I just added some misc glittered chipboard flowers and sticker letters. I really like how it turned out!
