With Deepest Sympathy...

Hello friends! I hope you all had a great weekend. I know I got a lot of stamping done, however it was with great sorrow in my heart. A family from the church I grew up in unexpectantly lost their son who was a freshman in high school on Saturday. It has definately left a mark on my heart. I made this card for my mom to give to his parents. They have been through so much in the past few years, I truly pray this card brings them comfort!

I used Taylored Expressions sketch #151... seriously love how it turned out. The papers, ribbon, and brads are all from November's Key Ingredients Kit. The swirl on front is CTMH and Prima flowers inside. The beautiful scripture is a stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs, and the inside stamp is from Taylored Expressions.

This card is also my submission for Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge #124: Show your true style. I know my style is more simple, but it is full of love! I truly feel my true style and my best cards are the ones where I am honestly trying to bring some joy or peace to the recipient. I honestly think about the recipient with every step in the process, and I think that is what makes my favorite cards my favs, the part of myself that is with it!

I made 3 other cards this weekend, and will be back throughout the week as I can get them edited to share them all with you! Thanks for looking as always, and please give your kiddos an extra kiss and hug in Cameron's honor tonight!

  4. Jenn, I hope you don't get too much snow with the storm headed this way. I am further south in Iowa so they are saying rain for us. I love your card. I am sorry that you needed a sympathy card. I will say a prayer for that family. I pray that your card will be a comfort to his family. Thank you for sharing your STYLE with the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge this week. MariLynn
